The house
Of How it is twenty - five kilometers of road stuck in the water, with two tunnels and a row in Argegno that no one can avoid. The villa gate is between two high walls and the house only appears after the second flight of stairs. Those arriving by boat arrive better: the boathouse is the house and the crossing of Bellagio takes twenty minutes.
The villa is 1904 and was restored in 2016 without changing the hydraulic tile of the hall, which is the original. There are six suites: four on the first floor, with iron balcony facing the lake, and two on the ground floor, open to the hydrangeas garden. The kitchen was made whole, and the dining room receives twelve under the chandelier of Murano who took the house.
The garden descends on three terraces to the water, connected by ninety - two stone steps — you can go down with your shoes down, not in heels. The boat is wooden, from the sixties, and leaves with pilot every morning: the Villa del Balbianello in three minutes, Bellagio in twenty, Varenna in twenty-five. The gardener comes on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the boat included in the daily?
Four hours a day with pilot, from May to October, are. Outside this period the boat stays in the water but without fixed pilot, and each exit is combined on the eve.
Can you swim in the lake?
It's on the stairs to the dock. The water is around 23 degrees in August and much colder in June. There's no beach: you go down the stairs and you turn on it.
Does the house have a pool?
Nope. The villa is 1904 and the garden is protected on the three terraces — there is no place to open one. Anyone who wants a pool usually chooses Villa Oleander in Tuscany or Masseria dei Fichi.
How many steps are up to the water?
Ninety-two, in three pitches, with handrail on both sides and low lighting lit from eight o'clock at night to six o'clock in the morning.
Do you serve breakfast?
It's not in the day. The housekeeper leaves bread, fruit and coffee in the kitchen every day; a breakfast served at the table costs €28 per person and needs to be ordered 48 hours in advance.
