The house
The street of the Ferradura climbs in a closed curve until the gate of the condominium, and the house is the last before the lookout, seventy meters above the water. It's two hours and forty from Galeão via Via Lagos and twenty minutes from Rua das Pedras. The gate opens to a britta courtyard where four cars fit, and the house begins below: one enters from above and one goes down a flight of stairs to the living room.
It was built in 1998 and renovated in 2021, when the whole squadron was replaced with white aluminum and glass. The five suites are on the floor below, aligned to the sea; the upstairs room became an office with sofa bed. The living room, kitchen and covered balcony form a span of only 15 meters front, without wall in the middle, facing the cove.
The lawn descends on two levels to the twelve-metre swimming pool, and from there a forty-two-step stone ladder arrives on the sand of the Ferradura in three minutes. In the afternoon the northeast knocks hard on the facade — so the doors have double lock and the ombrelone is collected at four. The team is of three people and works from nine to noon.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the pool heated?
Yes, by heat pump, from May to September. We call one day in advance and the heating comes in as a separate cost, charged per day of use.
Can you go down to the beach with a little kid?
The ladder has forty-two steps and does not pass cart. With a baby, most families prefer the five minutes by car to the bottom entrance of the Horseshoe.
Can we have a birthday party?
Sitting dinner of up to sixteen people, yes. Party with sound and guests from outside, no: the condominium prohibits and the ordinance does not release the entrance of those who are not staying.
Is there a generator?
No, there's no light once or twice a summer, almost always for less than two hours, and the house has flashlights and emergency lamps in the hallways.
What time is it?
The northeast enters around two in the afternoon, from November to March, and settles down at six. The balcony has glass curtain for this, and the pool is protected by the wall of the level.
